Now that I’m a little more blog savvy, I’ve become more and more aware of issues that can arise when you put personal information and pictures (especially of your children) on the World Wide Web. While, I haven’t yet asked T to yank all the pictures that we’ve already posted, I am more careful not to post pictures of C’s face. I apologize to all of our family and friends who depend on this blog for their cute kid fix. Trust me when I tell you that he’s still cute and he’s getting cuter every day. The whole “to post pics or not” debate isn’t over. We’ll soon come to a decision on whether to password the pics or just say “to heck with it” and post away!

Obviously, since I’m living the leisurely life of a stay-at-home-mom (insert sarcastic throat-clearing here) and T is hard at work trying to keep us fed (that really is true), you’ll be hearing mostly from me. Sorry. T is much more clever, computer literate, and grammatically correct than I. Photos will be mis-sized. Sentences will end with prepositions. Participles will dangle. Commas and “…” ’s will be abundant. It’s just how I roll. Consider that your warning.

T is also the one who is better at plugging happenings around the ‘Ham. I can tell you when Target has put new markdowns on their end caps (usually Tuesdays/Wednesdays) and what’s on sale at Publix (Triscuits are BOGO this week), but I’ll do my darnedest to give you some truly local tidbits as well.

A lot has happened since our last post and I plan to catch you up with some faceless vague pictures: our first pumpkin patch, C’s first Trunk-or-Treat, I’ve changed my hair color again (I don’t plan to bore you with pictures of that, but I thought it was worth mentioning)…

Scott’s Koneys has found a home on 3rd Ave South!

In two weeks, they will move to the street level floor of the Liberty National Insurance building. That is just half of a block further, from my work, than their present location. No withdrawal pangs here!

Today, we paid a visit to Mr. Clay’s Barbershop.

Evidently, the trick to a tear-free first haircut is to develop your game plan… and hand out plenty of lollipops.

Then you start with all of those curls in the back…

then the bangs.

Once you get around to the sides, you better be quick…

because little boys don’t like people messing with the ears!

But it wasn’t long before we were…

DONE!

Of course, on the ride home, he realized that there were no more lollipops to be had today.

I can’t remember which stores are slated to set up shop over there. I do remember Wal-Mart and Old Navy. Also, the BPL recently added some material to their Eastwood Mall online collection.
