After 75 years of making mountainous sub-sandwiches in the Sunday funnies, Dagwood is opening his own line of diners.

Developers plan to have 175 Dagwood’s Sandwich Shoppes open in the next few years. Could be fun. If anyone knows how to stack a sandwich, it’s Dagwood.

Year around, the old bottling facility Pepper Place is home to some neat shops. But starting tomorrow and every Saturday for the rest of the summer it’ll be home to one of the neatest events in the ‘ham. The Saturday Market at Pepper Place.

For seven years, it’s been a neat place to find lots of eats and treats. Plus there’s cooking demonstrations, live music, art, etc.

Early is the best time to go. It’s when the selection is best and the temperature is even better.
