The grapevine passed along some good news today:
Scott’s Koneys has found a home on 3rd Ave South!
In two weeks, they will move to the street level floor of the Liberty National Insurance building. That is just half of a block further, from my work, than their present location. No withdrawal pangs here!
[...] The rumors of their demise were premature, but only slightly. Black & White reported in their August 9 edition that longtime local favorite Scott’s Koneys was already closed. Well, yesterday was actually the last day for the 30+ year old establishment at its current location. Don’t get too upset though; they do still intend to move into the Liberty National building located at the corner of Richard Arrington, Jr. Blvd. and 3rd Avenue South.
