Legal Low Blow
Daniel A. Moore is a painter.
For 20 years, he’s been allowed to walk the sidelines at Bama games and paint amazing images of UA football.
But no more…
If you have been in a shopping mall anywhere near Alabama then you have seen Moore’s paintings in some store, probably framed in dark wood or maybe on a coffee mug. Moore is a UA grad. His paintings hang in offices all over campus. Including a huge framed oil, in the school’s own Paul Bear Bryant museum.
But now UA lawyers have barred Moore from the sidelines and slapped him with a lawsuit for “copyright infringement”, because his paintings combine the colors crimson and white with football.
This is why lawyers get stereotyped.
It’s hard to believe a bunch of educated folks actually thought this was a good idea. What a shame.
“The first thing we do; let’s kill all the lawyers.”
Shakespeare: Henry VI, Part II, Act IV, Scene 2. You go, Henry! You go, boy!!
Be careful about using the phrase ‘educated people’ in a message concerning the University of Alabama.
