Artwalk is this weekend! If it lives up to all the anticipation, it’s going to be great! It’s normally hosted only on the Northside, but this year they have come over to the other side of the tracks. About a dozen artists will display art inside businesses on our little corner of Southside. It’s always fun to see local art, but when you get to tour some of the city’s oldest buildings and see how they’ve been renovated, it’s even better. Here’s a link to this year’s map.

But I have to say that I’m most excited about Peanut playing in our parking lot tonight! She’s one of the best local jazz/funk/oldies singers. If you can catch part of her set, you should do so!

I guess, the fact that we’re hosting venues this year is a testament to how much work has gone into revitalizing this area. And if the city will ever quit bickering, it’s only going to get better!
