lots of good friends, co-workers and butt paste!
B’s very generous workplace threw us baby shower yesterday. It was a lot of fun, a lot of good eating with a lot of neat people. B had fun and I know Cullen will enjoy all the stuff he got. It was fun for me too and helped reinforce the learning curve I see before me! But we’ll figure it all out.
Thanks again to everyone who was there. It really was fun.

Best I can tell the RSS feed is up and running. You should see the icon at the end of the sidebar. Let me know if you have any trouble adding it. I tested it with Gator and Yahoo and no problems… yet.

This past weekend B and I drove down to Montgomery for the First Annual Alabama Book Festival. This year’s inaugural event was held in Old Alabama Town.
Amos Kennedy was there showing off his unique type-designed posters. Very cool stuff! Students from the Book Arts program were there as well showing off some of their projects and designs.
There were plenty of authors speaking and signing books throughout the day. Everyone from the ‘nationally known bunch’ (Bragg, Greenhaw, Hickam, etc.) and two Menasha authors, Russell Helms and Carol Padgett, took to the podium that afternoon.
Let’s hope this event just gets bigger and better every year. We posted a few pics too.

I have finally posted the first four photo galleries. But I scrapped all the php auto generated stuff and stuck to good old html. I’ll figure it out soon though. So don’t get too comfortable with them. They’ll change one day.
You Internet Explorer folks will find the galleries just fine. When you hover over a small picture on the reel a short description pops up to let you know what photos lie ahead. But this feature isn’t working in Firefox or Opera, so….. I’ll have to figure that out later too. It’s too late tonight!

Today’s Dr visit was good. Didn’t see our OB, saw her partner. Everything is normal & right on track. He’s still head down & measuring perfect! Will see our OB in 2 weeks… after that, it looks like we’ll start our weekly check ups.

We just found out that Chad Fisher (of TSU fame) and his jazz group will be putting the ‘hay in the barn’ tonight at Ona’s Music Room. Downbeat is at 8:30p.m.

Liftoff!
We bit the virtual bullet here and launched the site this morning. No, it’s not up to par. But I’m just running out of time. So much needs to be done before Cullen arrives.
Let me just thank the good folks at Wordpress for putting out such a powerful (and free) product. It’s amazing what smart people can do when they get together and compare notes. Maybe we should get the Wordpress folks on this outrageous gas price-problem we’re having… hmmmm…
Speaking of smart people I want to thank Troy Wallwork for all the tips and advice while getting this site up and running. So if any you Fortune 500 CEO’s reading this, need some IT support, the guys at www.dataperk.com can help.
That’s one post down…
